The Crew Goes Coconuts- A Captain No Beard Story by Carole P. Roman

A new crew mate is on board - Matie the goat. The regular crew isn't happy about it either.  They think because of Matie they've gone through all their ice boxes on this hot, hot day.  The crew begin to bully and tease Matie, making her cry.  Then Captain No Beard steps in.

A fantastic book for children.  The lessons this series teaches are invaluable.  This particular book teaches kids that no one is perfect.  It tells them teasing and bullying are wrong. I am so thrilled with this series of books.  I love a book with a little lesson in it. Children learn so much faster that way.  Captain No Beard will soon become a huge favorite read of the child in your life.

     I found no issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because the lesson is more important than ever in today's world.

The Cats of Savone by David-Michael Harding

The Cats of Savone where the cats bring a ray of sunshine to a dismal place.  My Boo Radley teaches us not to judge a book by it's cover.  Black Men in Bright Blue reminds us of a time in history.  The Jazz Bridge can be more than just a bridge.  St. Alden's is a place of prestige and honor.  The Junket is a reminder that we all need someone.  Forever Beneath the Celtic Sea tells us karma does exist.  The History of West Texas According to Henry Bass, where kindness goes a long way.

Touching, inspiring and powerful! This book will fill your heart, soul and mind in a positive way. Mr. Harding weaves stories like no one else.  Each story is told with such caring and compassion you feel as if you know the characters involved personally. You will NEVER go wrong with a David-Michael Harding book.  He's a must get author for me.

I found no issues with this one.

I gave this one 5 cheers plus out of 5. Mr. Harding touches me deeply with each book he writes.

Chasing Harpo by Alan Black

Soldiers from Rwanda were in the area. Police knew they were gang related.  No one could ever imagine the chain of events that would take place over the next few days.  Carl knew nothing about the gang. He was trying to get up nerve to ask Terri out.  Then it happened. Now the police are chasing Carl and his friend Harpo with orders to shoot on sight. Can Carl keep Harpo safe? With a little help he just might be able to make this right.

A fun read that, for me, was like checkin' up on relatives from the south! *smile* Well written and characters you'll love, this book will bring a smile to your face.  Mr. Black does a wonderful job of making this book come alive. I do recommend it.

     I found no issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because I smiled and giggled through much of the book.
