The Club by Cornelius Moore

The members of this club are among the richest in the city. As with most clubs, there are rumors, secret meetings and jealousy flowing. These people know way to much about each other to simply toss aside. The employees keep their ear to the ground while providing anything the members need. Could it be the downfall of the club?

A well written book with a terrific layout. This one is a page-turner. The characters are well defined and what you'd expect in this setting. I was pleasantly surprised to find the story fresh. You'll enjoy all of the little indiscretions slipped in among everyday events. This is one for your TBR pile and one to share with friends.

The only issue I found was the title. It's a little misleading.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because despite the title and this being a debut book, it delivers a wonderful story.

If You Were Me and Lived In...Israel: A Child's Introduction to Cultures Around the World by Carole P. Roman

On this trip, we will be traveling to Israel. Israel is on the Mediterranean Sea. Many believe Israel if a very holy land. The city of Jerusalem is one of the oldest cities in the world. We can explore and try new foods. What fun we'll have.

Well written and fun, I love this series. It allows children to see parts of the world they normally wouldn't get to see. It's always fun to learn about the traditions, locations and foods in a new country. Your child will enjoy this book. It should be part of every child's library.

    I didn't find issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because it's educational and fun.

One to Ten: Squirrel's Bad Day by Carole P. Roman

Squirrel's day began well but soon it went all wrong. He's frustrated and unhappy. Squirrel's friend Rabbit tries to help him feel better. Rabbit gives Squirrel and their friends a way to find out how bad the situation is. They decide their are many ways to look at what's happened.

Well written and fun characters make this book so sweet. I love the idea of giving a child a way to release their frustration.  It's  really a fun way to defuse any child's anger. This is one you need in your library.

     I didn't find any issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because it's a terrific way to teach your child to calm themselves.

Manipulated Lives by H.A. Leuschel

Have you ever felt confused or at a loss for words in front of a spouse, colleague or parent, to the extent that you have felt inadequate or, worse, a failure? Do you ever wonder why someone close to you seems to endure humiliation without resistance? Manipulators are everywhere.

I did find issues.  This book tends to ramble on and on. It has no real clear base story. It seems to drop you into the middle of a story and expects you to follow along. It's confusing and ambiguous at best.

I gave this one 2 cheers out of 5 because of the issues listed.

Talking Tales: Cricket's Guitar by Erica Graham

Terri hears a very small voice and finds a cricket talking to her. The cricket is sad because he broke a string on his guitar and doesn't have a replacement. With Terri's help, the cricket searches for a new string. You'll never guess what actually works.

Another teaching tool for parents. This time it's help with speech. Well written and geared toward children who struggle with sounds, this book is amazing. I found the story  to be creative and the characters fun and engaging. Your child will be using their imagination to help the cricket too. Perfect book for parent/child reading time together.

     I didn't find any issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because it needs to be in every home.

My TABLET by Tomer Mash

This child's tablet has become the focus of his life. He takes it everywhere. Every where but outside. He enjoys all the games and movies his tablet allows him to see. It takes spending time with his friend to realize what he's been missing.

I found this book to be a gem. It's a subtle way to remind children just how much fun the outdoors can be. It's well written and gives your child a relate-able character. This should be part of your little's library. We all need reminders to put the electronics down and enjoy nature. You won't be sorry you picked this one up.

     I didn't find any issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because it's a terrific tool.
