At thirteen, Sebastian's life was anything but normal. He'd lost his brother and he was having some really weird dreams. He had no idea he'd land in a world of magic to be told he was their savior. After weeks of preparing, Sebastian and a team of people would begin a quest like no other.
The writing in this book is tight and the characters truly something to be experienced. I found this book very interesting. Mr. Murphy allows us to see what's happening everywhere. He leads us down a trail and keeps you right in the moment. I'd love to see this series as a movie or mini-series on television. Learning about all the people in this book was a lesson itself. There are so many different types of magical beings in this world. If you want to get lost for awhile, this is the book for you. You'll be so immersed in this book you'll forget time and place.
While this book is over all, brilliant, I did find a couple of issues. I felt this book read very slowly. It seems as though once you get moving, several things happen to keep you plodding along at an increasingly slower rate. I also felt there wasn't a reason to repeat details in the last twenty pages. We know what happened back then, tell us where we are going.
I gave this one 4 cheers out of 5 because of the issues.
