The Cook of Castamar by Fernando J. Muñez

It's 1720 in Madrid, Spain and a young cook joins the household of the Castamar Hacienda. It isn't long before her cooking prowess captures the taste buds of the widowed duke. Lord Diego hasn't been to court in over 20 months and this is the first positive change in his life since losing his wife. Everyone is pleased with the new cook. What no ones sees coming is the love developing between the duke and this young cook. Many agendas are floating around Castamar, each one more self serving than the last.

This is a Netflix series. It's a 2021 historical piece.  There are twelve  one hour episodes of this series. It's the perfect weekend binge show. The cast is phenomenal as is the views.  I enjoyed the steady pace and each twist in the story. I found it to be a romance. An adventure. A history lesson and full of intrigue.  With each new piece of this puzzle, the entire picture begins to fill the screen. These actors and actresses blend so well together it makes the story seamless. I think you are going to enjoy this series as much as I did.

I didn't find anything about the movie I didn't like or that would be a problem.

I gave this series 5 cheers out of 5 because it blew me away after I was all set to dislike it. *smile*
