The Sugar Ticket by Susan Ricci

Cindy's life hadn't been easy. A special needs brother and a failed marriage later, she wasn't sure where she was headed.  Cindy then had an encounter with a real creepy jerk that left her shaken.  Her friend Julie told her it was time to get out there and find a man to love. Jay happen into Cindy's life and things begin to change.  She knew they'd be happy forever.

I fell in love with this book right away. I could relate to Cindy on many levels. It was nice to read a book where the main character isn't perfect in every way.  The writing is so well done it makes this one an easy read.  The humor in this book just made it that much better.  A lot of what through Cindy's mind enters most women's minds at some point.  Get this book because you are gonna recommend it to everyone you know.  Ms. Ricci is a master storyteller.

I found no issues with this one.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because it is magnificent.

Captain No Beard and The Aurora Borealis by Carole P. Roman

The Captain and his crew are on a new mission. This mission will take them through snow and ice. It will be dangerous.  The reward will be worth it though.  Captain No  Beard and his crew are sailing North. He's decided he wants the Aurora Borealis.  The crew explain to him it's wrong to take it without permission.  After thinking about it, the crew come up with a way he can have the Aurora Borealis without taking it.

What a perfect book for this time of year.  It's colorful illustrations make it easy for littles to follow the story.  The writing is just right for littles to get the message that what Captain No Beard wants to do is wrong.  Children will love this book.

     I found no issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because it's so colorful and informative.

If You Were Me And Lived in.. Peru by Carole P. Roman

Time to check out Peru!  The country is a lively one with old customs.  It's scenery will take your breath away.  We can learn so much from talking with the locals and visiting historic places.  I know we will all have fun.

This book really makes learning a joy.  I found littles who enjoyed every word. They had tons of questions too.  The writing and illustrations help parents make learning an adventure not a chore.  Your littles will love this book too.

     I found no issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because it's a wonderful joy to read.

If You Were Me And Lived In...Greece by Carole P. Roman

Let's go to Greece and learn about this beautiful old country.  Many of the things we have today started in Greece. We just need to look around.  Wherever you look Greece shows the remnants of it's majestic past.

I love these books. A chance to teach our children about places they may never visit.  It's written so well the children can easily understand it.  The illustrations are amazing.  The little in your life will want to read these again and again.

     I found no issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because teaching tools are the best.

When Supernatural Investigation Bureau agent Bluebell Kildare (a.k.a. Blue) arrives at the scene of the crime, it's obvious the grotesquely damaged body of the deceased teenage boy was caused by far more than a simple hit and run; and she vows to catch the killer. Using her innate sixth sense, Blue uncovers a powerful magical artifact nearby. She soon discovers it acts as a key to an ancient Grimoire that was instrumental in the creation of the Vampire breed and still holds the power to unravel the boundaries between Earth and the Plane of Fire.

Blue and her clever wolf Varg follow a trail that starts at the Cock and Bull Tap and leads all through the town of Crimson Hollow. Between being sidelined by a stalker who sticks to the shadows and chasing a suspect who vanishes in thin air, the case is getting complicated. If that isn't enough, Dark Vampire activity hits a record high, and hate crimes are increasing. However, it's Blue’s growing feelings for Jack Tanner, her sexy Daylight Vampire boss, that just might undo her.

While Blue searches for clues to nail the perpetrator, it seems someone else is conducting a search of their own. Who will find whom first?

Danger lurks in every corner, and Blue needs all her focus in this increasingly dangerous game or she risks ending up the next victim.

Lilo Abernathy is a somewhat eccentric, deep-thinking, warm-hearted young woman of at least 43 years. She started out as a restaurant chain hostess and worked her way up to the exciting world of global mergers and acquisitions. She has enjoyed an on again/off again relationship with formal education and has beenaffectionately referred to as information hound. In the evenings, she fills her writing breaks by scanning the internet for answers to provocative questions, such as: "What causes diamonds to be formed in different colors?"

One thing that never changes is Lilo's ongoing love affair with books. A born bibliophile, by age ten she finished all the children's books in the house and started devouring the adult section. By age 15, she was working her way through grocery store book aisles and libraries. Just as Picasso had his blue period, Lilo had her own periods of readership--urban fantasy, paranormal romance, Gothic novels, etc. Now she's planning on creating a bookshelf for you to enjoy.

Our Feet Were Made For Walking by Paul M. Kramer

Kate didn't walk unless she had to.  She felt like it wasn't worth her time.  She was told it was good to walk and fun too.  Kate just grumbled.  Then one day she had no choice, she had to walk.  Kate began to walk a bit more each day and liked it.  Kate's friends joined her on her walks.  Soon they'd inspired many in their town to walk too.  They walked for fun and to help raise money.

This book inspired me to walk more.  It made me remember what it was like before I got my driver's license.  It will help you and your children get involved with walking too.  It's an easy way to raise money for any organization.  Just get sponsors and then walk.  You'll love this book.

I didn't find issues with this one.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because it's a terrific reminder.

Why Are We Fat by Paul M. Kramer

We each use for different things. Some use it to cope and some eat when they are bored.  We've become addicted to sugar and junk food.  We all need to re-educate ourselves about food.  After we learn more about food, we can then work on eating healthier.  Everyone works at their own pace.

The opening poem in this one touched me deeply.  I so enjoy books for children that give information.  If they can get the message across I love them even more.  We as parents need to set examples and this is one area we need to work on.  Your kids will enjoy this book.  Most kids today want to learn about eating healthy.  Get this one.

     I found no issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because it makes a lot of sense.

Maggie Eats Healthier by Paul M. Kramer

Maggie Magee was laughed at by others when she tried to participate in sports.  She was larger than the other kids. When the kids laughed at her, she'd go home and eat even more.  Maggie decided to eat healthier.  In no time she was running with the other kids and doing very well.  She was happy to be healthy.

I truly love this book. It says exactly what needs to be said to children who need guidance in eating healthy.  I also love the beautiful poems that are included.  I am also happy this book teaches.  Your child will get the message of the book.  You will enjoy the fact it's not condescending .  The information is awesome.

     I found no issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because of it's message.

Not Quite Forever by Catherine Bybee

Dakota Laurens is a very  successful romance author.  She loves her job and shares her success with her friends. While attending a conference for romance authors, she meets a man who seems like he just walked out of one of her novels.
Dr. Walter Eddy was at the same hotel for a medical conference.  He is a very reputable doctor and there to give a talk to his fellow doctors.  While trying to find the room set up for his speaking engagement,  he sees Dakota.
They begin to get acquainted and its seems as if Dakota is in the setting of one of her novels.  She just hopes it ends up that way.

Ms Bybee is the goddess of terrific writing and books.  She seems to have an instinct that is never wrong.  I found this book easy to read and very romantic.  I enjoyed the characters and their quirky personalities.  It was so much more fun to read about them than perfect people in a perfect relationship.   This beautiful love story is one with realism at it's heart.  Two people living life on their terms and doing it successfully gives this book its funny and captivating style.  Not Quite Forever is a welcome and wonderful addition to the Not Quite Series.

I found no issues with this one.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because you can never go wrong with Catherine Bybee's books.

First Experience: Book 2 by Simone Freier

It's five years after Sarah passed away.  Sam's life has changed in many ways.  He's decided to pursue some of his fetishes.  Now he only needs to find a willing woman.  More than a willing woman, she needs to be open to trying these fetishes out.  Sam is meticulous about every detail of each fetish and about the type of woman he wants to enjoy them with.  Low and behold he gets reintroduced to his neighbor's daughter.  She's perfect, if only she were willing.

Written in a clinical style, this book takes all the fun out of fetishes.  Things never go as smoothly as they are portrayed in this book.  Unless you live the lifestyle, I doubt you'd find a willing partner.  The whole point to fetishes and sex is for it to be enjoyable. This book wipes all that away.

I did find issues.  The characters are dull.  The writing style is better suited to how-to manuals. There is no excitement or enjoyment in this book.

I gave this one 2 cheers out of 5 because it actually bored me.

Origins of a Fetish by Simone Freier

Sam and Sarah have been successful and traveled most of their adult life.  They know each other very well.  Their friends know they have an open marriage in many respects. Friends don't always understand it but they respect it.  When friends come to visit from Holland, Sam begins a conversation about fantasies and fetishes.  Everyone is having a great evening and conversation is flowing.  A few weeks later, Sarah dies and Sam is lost.

This book is written very well. The characters are a little stiff though.  I enjoyed the idea of the book, however the book reads more like a manual than an  erotic adult book.  I found everyone's actions and thoughts a little wooden.  I can't imagine people who really act or think the way they do in this book.

I did find issues.  It begins as though it's gonna knock your socks off and then drops the ball.  It needs some work to become what it's meant to be.

I gave this one 2 cheers out of 5 because it just doesn't deliver.

Stripped 1: An Erotic Romance (a novella)

Cassidy Carmichael worked hard her whole life. She had to work just to pay the bills and stay alive.  She had dreams though and those dreams are what kept her going.  All she ever wanted was to live comfortably. She wanted to be like everyone else. Going to movies, out to dinner and just having a bit of fun.  Her move to Los Angeles was supposed to give her the break she needed.  It didn't.  While talking with her friend Sherry one night, she found out how Sherry earned her living.  She suggested Cassidy give it a try. Cassidy wasn't sure she could do it, but decided to give it a try.

Wild and sensual, this book will make you HOT!  I enjoyed reading about Cassidy and Sherry.  It was  an interesting and fun read.  Certainly this book could be the start of an evening of romance.  Well written and characters who are well defined, this book is everything you could want in an adult read.

I found no issues with this one.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because you can't find a better one.

Gideon Lee by Lisa Orchard

Lark comes from a single parent home.  She's never known her father because her mother won't talk about him.  Mostly, Lark shrugs her shoulder at it all and depends on her music to carry her away.  Lark is a good student and fantastic at the guitar.  Her guitar is her life.  Of course she has friends, but very few.  Now that she's a senior in high school, she wants to know about her father.  If only she can get her mother to open up about him.  Lark's life is changing and she's decided her father should be part of it all.

I felt I knew Lark when I began reading this book. She reminded me of a couple of kids I went to school with.  The writing is outstanding and all the characters fit right in.  I felt each of Lark's emotions.  It was so easy to get wrapped up in this book.   This one is an easy read and those who enjoy the YA genre, this is perfect for you.  I highly recommend Ms Orchard's book.

I only found on thing that bothered me just a tad. I didn't like the cliffhanger ending. *grin*

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because this one tugs the heart strings.

Sailors Take Warning by Malcolm Torres

The Nimitz was at sea and had been for months.  Though romance was off limits on the ship, Kate Conrad and Terrance McDaniels found their romance there.  Life on a ship at sea is difficult. The long hours.  The loneliness and boredom seem to be endless.  Each sailor found ways to occupy his time, whether legal or not.  Kate and Terrance were the lucky ones. They had each other.  The Nimitz was testing new equipment and that meant even stricter rules for those aboard.  All anyone could think of was getting leave time in a fun port of call.   No one knew when that would happen though.

Extremely well written with characters you will love and hate.  I thoroughly enjoyed this book.  I found it entertaining, but educational too.  I learned more than I already knew about a sailor's life on board ship.  I was frightened of some characters, felt compassion for others and hated still others.  It felt as though I was on this ship watching these events happen.  My skin crawled, my heart raced and yours will too.  You will enjoy this book as much as I did. In the interest of full disclosure, the language and some scenes are very raw. Still it works with this book.  The final part of the book will make you question what you know.  By all means, buy this book!

     I found no issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because it's time we had more books about Navy life.

PRODUCT REVIEW: OZ Naturals

Do you have dry facial skin? Does it look uneven?   You've tried a lot of products to correct the situation too haven't you? About a month ago I was approached by OZ NATURALS. They wanted me to try their products and see what I thought.
I got the products and I was skeptical. I have lots of dark spots on my face and it's dry.  I've been fighting with these issues for thirteen years.  I read the directions and the ingredients so I'd know more about the product.  I began to use the OZ NATURALS and I was shocked.

These WORK!  My skin is softer and younger looking.  The products are so easy to use and take no time to get use to. Especially if you already have a skincare program you follow.  I used the VITAMIN C SERUM, the HYALURONIC ACID SERUM  and SUPER YOUTH EYE GEL.   Each one felt so wonderful on my skin and the results will astound  you.  I get so many more compliments on my skin tone since I used these products.  I'm not just spouting off either.  I've never used top quality products for my skin before these. Mostly because they contain things I'm allergic to.  The OZ NATURALS are so much fresher and wonderful.   You will be doing yourself a favor by buying these products.
     I didn't find any problems.

I gave this one 5+ cheers out of 5 because it's the best product I've ever used.
