A Perfect Setup by Douglas Wickard

Sami moves back to the city and though she is still struggling mentally, she feels her life moving forward.  The ordeal in the country was bad and rattled Sami pretty good, but she's a fighter.  Now she's got her ex-husband telling her he loves her and some creep following her and watching her.  Her best friend is cheating on her husband and her assistant may not be the person she thinks she is.  Sami feels like her world is shattering around her when Detective Hutchinson moves in to help right things for awhile.  Will life ever be normal again? Taste Sami's fear!

This book is raw and emotional. You'll be on the edge of your seat with Sami waiting to see what comes next.  The danger, excitement and sensuality makes this a must read!! I found more twists and turns in this book than a black snake and I LOVED every one of them.  You'll keep guessing until the end as to who did what when and where.  Douglas Wickard  is a master storyteller!! If you haven't read his first book, A Perfect Husband, get it, and this one! This is a sequel but stands alone very well.  GET BOTH BOOKS TODAY!!

I found no issues with this one.

I gave this one 5+ cheers out of 5 cheers because Sami is a strong, independent woman who kicks butt!

  2. Wonderful review and I agree 100%. I loved this book from the very beginning to the very last word. Kept me on the edge all the way through wondering who was following Sami and if her husband, Jerry, could possibly be guilty. I was shocked by several things in this story and that made it all the better. I loved A Perfect Husband but think this one is just as good. Though I don't think you would understand why Sami is going through what she is without reading the first book. I think Douglas Wickard is going to be right up there with the best authors. I love Stephen King's books so much but haven't read any that I loved any more than these two and that is saying a lot as I have always been a big King fan. Can't wait to see what kind of trouble Sami gets into next, but looks like I will be waiting awhile for that one. Great story and yes it is a bit 5* read and I would have given it more stars if I could have.. :)
