Not Quite Mine by Catherine Bybee

Katie and Dean had been friends since high school.  Katie always had a crush on Dean but it wasn't until after high school that they began to date. Secretly of course. It wouldn't do for Katie's dad and brother to find out.  They were both privileged   kids, their parents wealth well established, and as such they wanted to keep this to themselves.  No media stories. No friends feeling guilty, if they broke up, about who to invite to their parties.  As suddenly as it began it ended.  Katie then got the reputation of being a wild child. Sleeping around, traveling and parties were on her nightly agenda.  Dean, meanwhile, nursed a broken heart for more than one reason.  Now they've got a second chance, will they take it?

This is a wonderfully crafted story about a wealthy spoiled girl and her sudden need to grow up.  Love the characters and their personalities really shine through.  You'll laugh and you'll sigh as you read this book.  An easy read, Catherine Bybee has done a terrific job of keeping the characters true to the first book in the series.  This is a keeper!!

I found no issues with this one.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because I couldn't put it down.

  5. Oh how I loved this book! Dean is fabulous, we need more Deans in this world. I especially loved the scenes at the construction site, she stole his hard hat and wore high heels...sounds like something I would do :-)
