Honeysuckle Hill by Marion Marchetto

Daniel could tell his wife Merline was still sad.  They drove into the country just to get away. Just off the road sat a house.  It was run down and boarded up but they stopped any way.  Merline wandered around the grounds of the house and felt a sense of peace.  They decided to look inside to see how damaged it was. Merline loved the house. She even rescued some honeysuckle out front.  It felt like home.

This book is told from an unexpected point of view. I found it charming the way it was written. Ms. Marchetto really knows how to tell a gripping story.  The characters were well defined and easy to like.  The writing is solid.  I loved the family and extended family who helped make Merline happy once again.  I know her pain.  You will read this and smile.  Time to get your copy.

I found one issue. I felt there were too many stories told in this book.  I thought one or two could have been taken out and still made this book amazing.

I gave this one 4 cheers out of 5 because of the extra stories. They just seemed to delay the book.
