The Three Doors by Brian D. Holland

Jared Helm was able to do something most people would never believe. He was able to travel on the astral plane.  He didn't have control of it and never knew for sure when it would happen, it just did.  While traveling the astral plane one evening, Jared's spirit took him to lower Maine.  He was enjoying the trip until he felt the evil around him.  He didn't connect it to anything in  particular at first. Slowly though, with the help of his friends, Jared pieced together what was causing the evil. It was so horrifying, he needed to bring in others with similar abilities.  Once the team figures out who is involved and why, they set about trying to shut down the events.  The little Maine town where it was happening would be forever changed.

A book like this one is perfect for those who enjoy horror stories with a bit of religion mixed in.  As you get deeper and deeper into the book, you'll read faster and faster.  Mr. Holland did a fantastic job of including everything in this book. Greed, power, evil, drugs, murder and even some devil worship.  The writing in is phenomenal !  The characters, though teens, are mature beyond their years.  If you are looking to add to your "TBR (to be read) pile" include this one. It will touch you and scare you. You'll wonder if anything like this could ever happen. It can and does.

I only found one issue. The book seemed a little longer than need be. I understand to help the plot unfold it was all needed, but I think some chapters could have been cut and it still would have been awesome.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because it really touched me.
