When Divorce Is Not Enough by Audrey Holland

Tanya's life was never fantastic. Her parents died when she was young and with no other relatives, she was sent to foster care. After foster care, Tanya was sent to a half way house and was abused badly.  Still a young woman, she meets Tom. She believes him to be a very nice man, very sweet and kind. Tom, however is hiding another side of himself.  Tanya married Tom but soon regretted her decision. Tom began their life together by abusing Tanya immediately.  He wanted his wife compliant and used terror and violence to keep her that way.   After awhile, Tanya decides to divorce him. The problem is, Tom would never go away after that. Only one solution was left. At least in Tanya's eyes.

Such a compelling story of domestic violence and where it starts. I found the book to be right in line with what I've experienced with domestic violence.  I love that Tanya doesn't roll over and play dead when Tom begins his crap.  She gets strong, fights back and gives herself and her children a life.  I enjoyed the details and the action in this story. You'll enjoy this one and it will teach us all a little something.

     I didn't find any issues.

I gave this one 4 out of 5 books. It left me uncertain about the end.
